Stephen King recently gave his views on Stephenie Meyer and her “Twilight” series. (Which, for the record, is not considered to be a fantasy series by this website. It’s a romance thriller, and not something we would generally cover here.)

“Both Rowling and Meyer, they’re speaking directly to young people. … The real difference is that Jo Rowling is a terrific writer and Stephenie Meyer can’t write worth a darn. She’s not very good.”
